Wright Kuruvilla Architects is a UK based architectural practice led by Tom Wright and Geku Kuruvilla George

We first worked together during the construction of the Burj Al Arab in Dubai 28 years ago and have enjoyed working together ever since. We both have a passion for architectural design and personally lead the projects we undertake, working directly with our clients and their dedicated design teams throughout the world. We aim to create projects that are carefully considered to achieve a balance between exceptional design, economic feasibility and low environmental impact. 

We take it personally

No matter the scale or complexity of the projects we undertake we always work with our clients personally, one to one. This way we can be creative all the time, and do what we love to do whilst giving our clients the support and input that they expect and deserve.

Standing out from the crowd

We thrive on the design challenge. It always starts with listening and learning about the constraints and opportunities that the project offers. Once we have a good understanding, we start to design with the clear intention to push boundaries and enhance the viability of the brief. Our buildings maximise the potential of a site and offer unique solutions that stand out from the crowd and are successful in the project’s marketplace.

Money makes the world go round

Having the Burj Al Arab in our design portfolio is both good and bad. Good because it clearly demonstrates our ability to create exceptional buildings that stand out from the crowd. Bad because it is extravagant in so many ways that potential clients might think that we will not be realistic when considering their project. Over the last 24 years since the Burj Al Arab opened its doors to the public we have designed many buildings for clients around the world and without exception we have created exciting, practical, and most importantly, economically feasible projects.

Planet Earth

We are all aware of the problem and we have a responsibility to do something about it. We work with our clients to achieve realistic building energy solutions that enhance and add value to their project. In other words, we always do our best to help save the planet.
