IVY Bangkok

Client: Pruksa

Location: Bangkok, Thailand

Type: High-end residential

GFA: 60,000 m²

This simple and sculptural 205 m tall twin tower, high-end apartment development was proposed for the Sukhumvit area in Bangkok. The apartments each have views over the park and lake in front of Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre.

The Thai motif pattern of Kranok Sam Thua is inspired by the Lotus and Jasmine flower buds and can be seen decorating Thai artwork and vernacular architecture. Inspired by these patterns they were used to inform the design of the crown of the IVY towers to create a distinctive and striking addition to the Bangkok skyline.

Each tower is 54 storey high and has a GFA of 30,000 m². The facilities provided for residents and guests include a grand arrival lobby, an exclusive sky-view lounge and wine bar with associated infinity swimming pool, spa and fitness centre. The towers are set in lush landscaped gardens which climb the lower levels of the tower podium to cover the automated car parking system within.
